Regina Gleim was born in Kamyschin (Russia) and studied flute with Jean-Claude Gérard (Stuttgart), Joachim Schmitz (Mannheim) and Hansgeorg Schmeiser (Vienna).She was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Germany and of the Academy of the Munich Radio Orchestra. She specialized in early music and traverso at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Christoph Huntgeburth and at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Marc Hantai. She performed amongst others with the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, the orchestras of the Komische Oper Berlin and the theatre of Magdeburg under the direction of conductor such as Valery Gergiev, Kurt Masur, Daniel Barenboim and Gerd Albrecht. Her performances include concerts at festivals like the Schwetzinger Festspiele, the Schleswig Holstein Musikfestival, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the Haydn Festival Brühl. Since 2012 she works as flutist and soloist with ensembles such as Elbipolis Barockorchester Hamburg, Café Zimmermann, Lauttencompagney Berlin, Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart and L’Onda Armonica.
