The harpist Maximilian Ehrhardt was born in Tettnang at the Lake of Constance and studied modern harp at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Prof. Erika Waardenburg and historical harps with Prof. Mara Galassi at the Accademia Internazionale della Musica di Milano. From both studies he graduated with the Master with distinctions. He performed amongst others with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, the Orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin, the Gürzenich-Orchester of the Cologne Opera, the orchestra of the Fynske Opera (Denmark), the Lautten Compagney and the Choeur de Chambre de Namur. He worked with conductors such as Sylvain Cambreling, Konrad Junghänel, Lorenzo Ghielmi and Leonardo García Alarcón. He performed at a variety of international festivals such as the Early Music festivals in Berlin, Trondheim and Utrecht, the Festival della Valle d’Itria, the Festival Claudio Monteverdi as well as the MITO Settembre Musica.
