Schleswig-Holstein native Jule Hinrichsen started her artistic life as a cellist with a classical orchestra training. She graduated with the orchestra diploma with Prof. Jens Peter Maintz at the Universität der Künste Berlin and was an orchestra intern with the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra. She held temporary positions with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bremen and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin which also awarded her with a scholarship. She was a member of the musical cabaret ensemble Salut Salon – and finally discovered for herself the historically informed performance practice and basso continuo playing. She started her studies of the Baroque cello at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Phoebe Carrai, Markus Möllenbeck and Jan Freiheit and graduated with a Master in Early Music with a specialization in continuo playing. She performs in a variety of productions from operas to oratorios and passions and is member of several chamber music ensembles.
